Bill Petrey, MasterCNE, MCSE, MBA, CCNA, CNE, IT Project+
Bill Petrey has been called "a lifesaver," a "skilled artisan," and a "unique problem solver" for his ability to provide creative, dependable IT consulting solutions. He has also been considered by many industry insiders to be a very "big fish" in the IT knowledge pool. His seven years of IT network consulting experience encompasses technologies using Microsoft, Novell, UNIX and Linux. He uses these experiences to design and secure networks, to develop project management solutions, and to provide proactive support and maintenance programs. As President and senior consultant of CertiTech Solutions, he works with clients to create, support, maintain, enhance and secure, corporate networks and computer systems. He has earned fifteen industry recognized certifications, including the MCSE, MasterCNE, IT Project+ and CCNA certifications, and has been quoted in national publications about various IT topics.
Bill Petrey has been with CertiTech Solutions for over three years. Through his experience and innovative service philosophies, CertiTech Solutions was able to become a premiere networking support facility offering a wide variety of services, from remote network monitoring, to supplemental support, to full managed services plans. Mr. Petrey serves as senior consultant, ensuring that our premium level of service is maintained and that the technical support and consulting departments best serve our customer's needs.
Before CertiTech Solutions, Mr. Petrey was the Network Division Manager for the City of Memphis government. His extensive experience in project management and new technologies helped him modernize, consolidate and web-enable the City's network to become an efficient, reliable and cost-effective system. During this time, he created and administered the City's large Novell, UNIX and Microsoft network.
Mr. Petrey was a Network Engineer for Mid-South Data Industries, Inc. before he joined the City of Memphis. During that time, Mid-South Data Industries, Inc. was one of the largest solution providing companies in the Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee tri-state region specializing in server, LAN / WAN technology and connectivity.
Before Mid-South Data Industries, Mr. Petrey served as Director of Franchise Support and Services for The Buyer's Agent, Inc. national office. The Buyer's Agent is a buyer brokerage real-estate franchise marketing company formed specifically to develop and practice the art of exclusive buyer representation. While working at The Buyer’s Agent, he was responsible for developing business computer systems that distributed the company’s centralized databases to each franchise.
Mr. Petrey, who has an MBA in Management, received his MBA and Bachelor's of Science degree in Marketing from Christian Brothers University. This year, Christian Brothers University is once again listed in U.S. News and World Report's "America's Best Colleges" report. CBU is ranked among the top 35 "Southern Universities Granting Master's Degrees" and is listed in Princeton's Review's "Best Southern Colleges," "Great Colleges for the Real World," and Thomas-Peterson's "Competitive Colleges," due to its ability to attract "high achieving students."
In addition to consulting for CertiTech Solutions, Mr. Petrey also serves on the board of directors of two Arkansas corporations. Mr. Petrey also holds fifteen IT industry technical certifications from Microsoft, Novell CompTIA and Cisco, including a firewall certification, Microsoft's MCSE, Cisco's CCNA, IT Project+ and Novell's Master CNE certification.
